So, is Batista Natural or is he lying and taking steroids?
Based on the evidence Batista could well have taken steroids.
His gains timeline is typical of a steroid-user.
He’s very defensive in the video where he talks about steroids, saying you’re not a bad person if you take steroids and that they’re not bad for you.
His debut: 2002
Batista began his WWE career in 2002 in the Smackdown Division! under the nickname of Deacon Bautista, a heel that comes to help Reverend D-Von. His first fight is a Tag Team match as he and D-Von face off against Randy Orton and Faarooq. Batista wins and scores 3 on Randy Orton with a Spinebuster for his first official WWE victory. Randy Orton tries to beat Batista and D-Von with different partners, but he always loses. Batista first loses to Rikishi after D-Von accidentally hits him, giving Rikishi an advantage to take the tally of 3 over Batista to win. This duo separates very quickly after arguments, a short rivalry breaks out where Batista beats D-Von. We send him to RAW and he is now called Dave Batista or Batista for short.
After establishing him as a monster following a quick winning streak, Ric Flair takes him under his wing. Ric Flair being at war with Kane, a rivalry breaks out between the 2 men. Batista made his PPV debut during Armageddon 2002 where he defeated Kane.
Evolution: 2003-2004
Summer 2004, after Randy Orton won the World title,
January 2003, he joins Triple H (the leader), Ric Flair (the manager) and Randy Orton as “bodyguard” to form the Evolution clan. Unfortunately for him barely his association started, he injured a bicep during a fight on House Show and found himself on the floor. As if everything wasn’t bad enough for him, here he injured himself again but this time to a tricep while still recovering and only jogging with his wife. His return is therefore postponed and his long convalescence continues. As a member of Evolution, Batista dresses like a businessman.
Rivalry with Goldberg
He returned on October 20, 2003 to RAW by intervening in the fight Goldberg vs Shawn Michaels by inflicting an injury (kayfabe) to Goldberg’s ankle. On November 10 Goldberg got his revenge by defeating him by disqualification when Triple H intervenes and hits Goldberg with his sledgehammer.
World Team Champion
At Armageddon 2003, he participated in 2 fights. One solo against Shawn Michaels who he will lose, and another as a team with Ric Flair where they will take the victory to become World Tag Team Champions in a Tag Team Turmoil match. Evolution becomes the dominant of RAW by holding the 3 men’s RAW titles: World Heavyweight Championship by Triple H, WWE Intercontinental Championship by Randy Orton and the World Tag Team Championship by Batista and Ric Flair.
They would hold the title until February 2004 before being beaten by Rob Van Dam and Booker T. They would recapture the title shortly after against Rob Van Dam and Booker T in March. However, Chris Benoit and Edge triumph over Batista and Ric Flair in April for the title.
Rivalry with former teammate: Randy Orton [edit at SummerSlam 2004 held by Chris Benoit since WrestleMania XX, Triple H ousts Randy Orton from the Evolution clan saying that the title Randy Orton holds belongs to him. At the 2004 Survivor Series, Triple H, him, Snitsky and Edge were defeated by Maven, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton in a fight where the winners take control of RAW the following month.
World champion: 2005-early 2006
Arguments with Triple H and Ric Flair
From the week following the Survivor Series, Triple H offers Maven a place in the Evolution clan. In the following weeks the relationship between Batista and Triple H deteriorates. After a loss to Chris Jericho, Triple H insults Batista. The latter lets hover [ref. necessary] that he is going to leave Evolution but he declares a little later that he is still part of Evolution and that he played with everyone [ref. necessary]. He begins to act more like a face despite the Evolution tactics of the following weeks. The match is ultimately won by Triple H. On RAW. He then competed in the 2005 Royal Rumble and won.

Batista underwent successful tricep surgery on January 12, 2006. He makes a surprise appearance at No Way Out 2006.
